Bharat Tex Guide: India's Global Textile Event in New Delhi

Bharat Tex is India’s government-backed global textile event, organised by a consortium of the country’s textile export promotion councils with support from the Ministry of Textiles. The 2026 edition brought more than 5,000 textile exhibitors, including over 1,500 apparel exhibitors at the 75th India International Garment Fair, plus 2,000+ overseas apparel buyers, around 600 buying consultants and about 3,000 buyers of other textile products. For anyone sourcing from or selling to India’s textile industry, the Bharat Tex attendee list is a broad and useful one.

Bharat Tex spans the full textile value chain:

Venue and dates
Bharat Tex is always held at Bharat Mandapam (Pragati Maidan) in New Delhi. The timing has moved: the first two editions were in February (2024 and 2025), and the 3rd edition ran from 14 to 17 July 2026. Check bharat-tex.com for the next dates.

Buyer registration and hosted buyers
Overseas buyers register online. Qualifying overseas buyers can join the hosted buyer programme, which covers up to three nights in a star-rated hotel, meals at the venue and airport and venue transfers.
Directory and meetings
Registration, the exhibitor directory and B2B meeting requests run through bharat-tex.com. With 5,000+ exhibitors, the show is large and fragmented. Buyers need a vetted shortlist; exporters and service providers need the list of retailers, buying houses and consultants coming. Either way, an enriched list saves time.
