The Paris Air Show (Salon International de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace) is the oldest and largest aerospace show in the world. It takes place at Le Bourget in odd years, and the next edition runs from 14 to 20 June 2027. The trade days are 14 to 17 June. In 2025, 2,500 exhibitors from 48 countries and 322 official delegations attended, with 305,000 visitors overall.

Orders worth tens of billions of dollars are announced during the week. In 2025 Airbus alone booked 250 firm orders. For aerospace suppliers, this is the meeting point of the year.

What happens at the Paris Air Show

Airbus, Boeing, engine makers, defence primes and thousands of suppliers exhibit, with flying displays and a large static aircraft park. The show covers:

  • Commercial aircraft and engines
  • Defence aerospace and military aviation
  • Space and satellites
  • The aerospace supply chain: aerostructures, MRO, avionics and materials
  • Drones, eVTOL and urban air mobility
  • Sustainable aviation fuels and decarbonisation

Where it takes place

The show is held at the Paris–Le Bourget airport and exhibition centre, north of Paris. It does not move. In even years the industry goes to Farnborough in the UK instead.

Getting to Le Bourget takes planning, and June heat plus crowds make for long days. Paris hotels are expensive in June.

The official app

The Paris Air Show app provides the exhibitor list, maps, the flying-display schedule and business-meeting tools. It helps you get around the site. It does not give you a structured, exportable view of the procurement and engineering leads you need to meet.

How to prospect the Paris Air Show

  1. Segment exhibitors into OEMs, tier-1s, MRO, defence and space.
  2. Map national pavilions. Many SMEs exhibit under a country flag and are easy to miss.
  3. Identify procurement and engineering contacts at the OEMs and tier-1s you want to supply.
  4. Book meetings for the four trade days only. The weekend is for the public.
  5. Plan transport and chalet time carefully. Meetings run late and moving around the site is slow.

Pros and cons

Pros Cons
Largest concentration of aerospace decision-makers Biennial, alternating with Farnborough
Major order announcements and media attention Hot, crowded, demanding logistics
Strong supply-chain and SME presence Chalets and stands are very expensive
Trade-only days keep meetings focused Paris hotels are pricey
