PLASTINDIA is India’s largest plastics exhibition and one of the biggest in the world. It happens only once every three years, which concentrates a lot of buying activity into six days. The 2026 edition at Bharat Mandapam covered about 500,000 m² with more than 2,000 exhibitors, and the next one is due in 2029. If India’s fast-growing processing industry is your market, the PLASTINDIA attendee list is worth planning for well in advance.

What PLASTINDIA covers

The Plastindia Foundation organises the show, and it covers the whole plastics chain:

  • Processing machinery: injection, extrusion, blow moulding
  • Polymers, resins, additives and masterbatches
  • Moulds, dies and auxiliary equipment
  • Recycling and sustainable plastics
  • Packaging and finished plastic products
  • Pipes, irrigation and infrastructure plastics

The 2026 edition hosted around 500 international exhibitors and targeted more than 600,000 visitors. It’s the main meeting place between Indian processors and global machinery and polymer suppliers.

Venue and timing

The 2026 show ran from 5 to 10 February 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, the exhibition and convention centre at Pragati Maidan in central Delhi. The next edition is expected in 2029.

The location can change. PLASTINDIA has mostly been held at Pragati Maidan (now Bharat Mandapam), including 2023 and 2026, but the 2018 edition was in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Confirm the venue for each edition.

Who attends PLASTINDIA

Who Typical need Who should prospect them
Indian plastics processors (many SMEs) Machines, moulds, materials Machinery and resin suppliers
Packaging, automotive, agri and FMCG manufacturers Components and packaging Processors and converters
Machinery and resin distributors New brands to represent International manufacturers
International machinery suppliers (Europe, China, Japan) Indian customers and agents Distributors, service companies
Government and industry associations Policy, recycling rules Consultancies, recyclers
Students and engineers Learning and jobs Training and recruitment firms

The visitor base is large and price-sensitive, and not everyone is a decision-maker. Knowing who’s who before the show matters more here than at most fairs.

Skip the badge-scanning lottery. I can deliver the PLASTINDIA exhibitor and attendee list, enriched with job titles, company data and LinkedIn URLs, so your team books meetings weeks ahead instead of hoping for walk-ins. Request the PLASTINDIA list

Registration

Visitors pre-register online at plastindia.org. The organiser doesn’t publish a standard visitor fee, and conferences have separate registration.

Digital tools

No dedicated app was confirmed. The exhibitor directory and floor plans are published on plastindia.org. That’s a start, but it doesn’t tell you which of the thousands of visiting processors run large plants, what they buy, or who signs off on machinery purchases.

Pros and cons

Pros Cons
Biggest access point to India’s processing industry Triennial, so long gaps between editions
Modern, central venue at Bharat Mandapam Extremely crowded, many non-decision-makers
Strong international machinery presence Visitor information published late
Conferences on recycling and policy Delhi winter pollution and traffic
Concentrated buying activity every three years Price-sensitive SME buyers

Exhibiting is expensive. An empty meeting calendar is worse. A pre-event PLASTINDIA list with decision-makers, companies and LinkedIn profiles gives your booth staff something to work with. Get the PLASTINDIA attendee list

Preparing for the next PLASTINDIA

  1. Start planning a year out. With three years between editions, stand space and meeting slots are in demand.
  2. Segment processors by size and end-market. A pipe extruder and a medical moulder are very different customers.
  3. Work with local distributors if you’re an international supplier; many SMEs buy through them.
  4. Pre-book meetings with your top 50 targets.
  5. Have pricing and financing options ready. Indian SME buyers compare hard.
  6. Track contacts between editions. Three years is a long time, and many of the same buyers also attend other Indian shows.

Most teams arrive at a show like PLASTINDIA with a booth, a brochure and no plan for who they actually need to meet. I’m Ilyas, and through Prospector I build enriched attendee, exhibitor and speaker lists for B2B sales teams: job titles, companies, company size, industry, LinkedIn profiles and work emails where available, delivered as a CSV or Excel file that imports straight into HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive. Tell me which event you’re going to and who you sell to, and I’ll take it from there.
