SMART ENERGY WEEK, organised by RX Japan, is Japan’s largest exhibition for renewable and clean energy. It brings together seven specialised shows, from hydrogen and fuel cells to solar, batteries and wind, and runs alongside Green Transformation Week. Japanese utilities, trading houses, manufacturers and international technology suppliers all meet here, which makes the Smart Energy Week attendee list a key route into Japan’s decarbonisation and hydrogen markets.

This guide is for the spring 2027 edition.

Registration

Visitors pre-register online for free entry badges; RX Japan shows charge admission to visitors without registration, so confirm on wsew.jp. Open seminars are free, and conference sessions need registration (some paid). Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Meeting tools and data

Registration, exhibitor search and meeting requests run through wsew.jp. In Japan, trading houses and utilities make many energy decisions, and they rarely respond to cold approaches on the show floor. Identifying the right departments and people in advance, and reaching them before the show, is what gets meetings booked.
