Anuga 2027 Cologne: Food Fair Guide & Buyer Attendee List

Anuga is the biggest food and beverage trade fair in the world by number of exhibitors. Around 7,900–8,000 exhibitors from more than 100 countries and about 140,000–145,000 trade visitors from roughly 200 countries meet at Koelnmesse in Cologne. The next edition runs from 9 to 13 October 2027.

It alternates with SIAL Paris, so each brings the global food trade together every two years. If your customers are food retailers, importers or manufacturers, Anuga is a week you can’t skip.

Where it takes place

Anuga is always held at Koelnmesse in Cologne-Deutz. It runs in odd years and does not move. Koelnmesse also runs Anuga Select Brazil, Anuga Select India and Anuga FoodTec, the processing-technology fair in Cologne. Cologne hotels are scarce and expensive in October.

Tickets

Anuga is trade only, with proof of industry affiliation required. 2027 prices are not published yet. Past day tickets were around €50–80 online, with season tickets higher (estimate). Exhibitor ticket vouchers are widely available.

The Anuga app and matchmaking

Anuga offers an official app and online platform for exhibitor search, product discovery and business matchmaking. These tools help you find stands and some matches. For outbound sales they lack the basics: no export, no buyer contacts, and no view of which retail chains and importers are sending people.

How to prospect Anuga

  1. Pick your trade shows. A dairy supplier and a plant-based start-up need different buyers.
  2. List the retailers and importers in your target countries and rank them by size.
  3. Find category buyers and private-label managers at each one.
  4. Pre-book meetings. Anuga is very big, and buyers who arrive without plans rarely wander into other halls.
  5. Log all contacts in your CRM so listing negotiations do not slip after the show.
