IE expo China is the Chinese sister of Munich’s IFAT and Asia’s leading trade fair for environmental technology. The 2025 edition hosted 2,279 exhibitors and 90,571 visitors, and in 2026 the show expanded to around 190,000 m². It tracks China’s huge spending on environmental infrastructure, from wastewater plants to waste-to-energy. For equipment makers, engineering firms and service providers in the sector, the IE expo China attendee list is a direct line to municipal and industrial buyers.

Venue and dates

The flagship is always in Shanghai at SNIEC in Pudong, every April. The 2026 edition ran 13–15 April. The organiser also runs smaller spin-off editions, such as IE expo Guangzhou and Chengdu, under the same brand.

IE expo China is trade-only. Visitors apply or register online, and free pre-registration is standard for Messe München China shows; check ie-expo.com. Conference sessions may need separate registration.
