IMTEX is the largest machine tool and manufacturing technology exhibition in South Asia. IMTEX 2025 hosted 1,183 exhibitors from 23 countries across eight halls, 133,166 business visitors and an estimated US$400 million in orders. IMTEX 2027 runs from 21 to 27 January 2027 at BIEC in Bengaluru. With India’s automotive, aerospace, defence and electronics manufacturing growing fast, the IMTEX attendee list is a valuable one for equipment and tooling suppliers.

What is IMTEX?

IMTEX is organised by the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA). Co-located events include:

  • Tooltech for tooling and accessories
  • Digital Manufacturing for Industry 4.0 and additive manufacturing
  • The International Seminar on Machining Technologies
  • Academia programmes

Product areas cover metal-cutting machine tools and CNC, tooling and workholding, digital manufacturing and measurement, aimed at automotive, aerospace and defence manufacturing.

IMTEX is always at BIEC, 10th Mile, Tumkur Road, Bengaluru (Namma Metro Green Line, Madavara). The format alternates:

BIEC is on the city’s outskirts, so traffic can be slow. Visitor hours are 10:00 to 17:00.

Business visitors register online at imtex.in, and no visitor fee is published. Visitors under 16 aren’t admitted.

IMTEX has a strong order-booking culture: buyers often place orders at the show. That makes pre-show prospecting especially valuable.
