JIMTOF 2026 Tokyo: Machine Tool Fair Guide and Attendee List
By Ilyas Kerbal,

JIMTOF, the Japan International Machine Tool Fair, ranks with EMO, IMTS and CIMT as one of the four biggest machine tool shows in the world. Japan’s precision machining leaders, including DMG Mori, Mazak, Okuma, Makino, Fanuc and Brother, launch new CNC machines here, surrounded by toolmakers, metrology specialists and CAD/CAM vendors. The 2026 edition runs from 26 to 31 October at Tokyo Big Sight. If you sell to manufacturers, the JIMTOF attendee list connects you with a senior engineering audience.

What is JIMTOF?
JIMTOF is organised by the Japan Machine Tool Builders’ Association (JMTBA) and Tokyo Big Sight. It covers:
- Metal-cutting and metal-forming machine tools
- Cutting tools, diamond and CBN tools, abrasives
- Precision measuring and testing instruments
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- CNC controls, CAD/CAM and software
- Additive manufacturing and automation
Additive manufacturing, automation and digital twins are growing themes.

Venue and the 2026 floor plan
JIMTOF is held every two years at Tokyo Big Sight in Ariake. For 2026, East Halls 4–6 are closed for renovation, so floor space drops to about 92,850 m². Expect busier halls and tighter booth space. After 2026, the next edition is in 2028.

Exhibitor Online Channel
The Exhibitor Online Channel lets visitors search exhibitors by name, category and booth layout, and a visitor website handles registration with an FAQ chatbot. It’s well built for finding booths. For a sales team, though, the needed data is the people: the production engineering managers and buyers at manufacturers, sorted by industry and region, in a file you can work from.
