LEAP has become one of the largest tech events in the world in just a few years. Since it launched in 2022, editions have announced multi-billion-dollar investments in AI, cloud and data centres, around US$15bn at LEAP 2025 alone. The 2027 edition is scheduled for 12 to 15 April in Riyadh. What is LEAP?

LEAP is organised by Tahaluf, an Informa joint venture, with the Saudi Ministry of Communications and IT. The 2026 edition featured 16 stages, more than 20 tracks, 1,289 investors from 1,016 firms, the Rocket Fuel startup competition, and zones for robotics, future mobility, gaming and sports tech. The co-located DeepFest focuses on AI.

Where and when

LEAP is always held at the Riyadh Exhibition & Convention Centre (RECC) in Malham, about 70 km north of central Riyadh. Premium passes include shuttles and parking.

Dates have moved before. LEAP usually runs between February and April, but the 2026 edition was rescheduled to 31 August–3 September amid regional conflict. LEAP 2027 returns to April: 12–15 April 2027.

The LEAP app and LEAP Connect

A dedicated app arrives shortly before the event with the agenda, maps and networking, and LEAP Connect handles attendee networking. Passes are managed on onegiantleap.com. The networking tools help once you’re inside, but they don’t give you an exportable, enriched list of decision-makers, and because the venue is so far from the city, wasted hours are expensive. Arriving with booked meetings matters.

How to prepare for LEAP 2027

  1. Buy passes before the early deadline, especially if you need Priority access.
  2. Map the government entities and giga-projects relevant to your offer.
  3. Book meetings in March. With 1,000+ investors and hundreds of executives, calendars fill early.
  4. Group meetings by day to limit trips to and from Malham.
  5. Use DeepFest if your product is AI-specific.
  6. Watch for date changes and keep travel bookings flexible.
