ProMat 2027 takes place from 19 to 21 April at McCormick Place in Chicago. Run by MHI, it is one of the two flagship supply chain shows in North America, with more than 1,000 exhibitors across three floors and over 50,000 manufacturing and supply chain professionals.

ProMat in a nutshell
ProMat is one of the two flagship MHI shows (alongside MODEX). It brings together material-handling equipment, warehouse automation, robotics, software and logistics services for manufacturers, distributors and retailers.
Visitors can see automated storage, AMRs, conveyors, sortation and warehouse software running live. Free education sessions and keynotes cover supply-chain resilience, labor and AI.

Does it change location? No. ProMat is in Chicago in odd years; its sister show MODEX is in Atlanta in even years (with a new MODEX West in Las Vegas from 2028).

The sales opportunity at ProMat
Labor shortages and rising fulfilment costs have pushed automation to the top of the agenda for many supply chain leaders. At ProMat, a large share of visitors are actively scoping projects, from a few AMRs to full distribution center redesigns.
The people to prioritise are VPs of supply chain, DC and warehouse managers, operations directors and engineering leads at manufacturers, retailers and 3PLs. A segmented list lets you send different messages to a 3PL than to a retailer, which makes a real difference to reply rates.
Who should attend ProMat?
Best for: vendors with a defined segment in supply chain and logistics who are ready to filter the attendee base by role and company size.

Event app and digital platform
MHI publishes an official ProMat app (exhibitor search, maps, agenda) before each show.
From a sales point of view, the app’s main limitation is access. You see the people who chose to be visible, you can’t pull them into your CRM, and once the event ends the data usually disappears with it.
