VivaTech is Europe’s largest startup and technology event. The 10th edition in 2026 set a record with more than 200,000 visitors from 165 nationalities, 15,000+ startups, 4,500+ exhibitors (61% international) and 1,155 speakers. The next edition runs from 16 to 19 June 2027 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.

For B2B tech vendors, VivaTech is less about the startup buzz and more about access to corporate innovation teams and investors. Here is what to expect and how to plan your list of people to meet.

What happens at VivaTech

Large corporates such as LVMH, Google, Orange and BNP Paribas build innovation “labs” on the show floor to showcase partner startups. Thousands of startups pitch to investors and corporate teams, and heads of state and big-tech CEOs take the main stages. Content covers AI, mobility, climate tech, health, retail and space.

The first three days are for professionals. The final Saturday opens to the public.

Where it takes place

VivaTech is held at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles in southern Paris (metro line 12, tram T2 and T3a). It stays in Paris, and a separate VivaTech Toronto edition has run since 2023. Paris hotel prices rise in June, so book early.

The VivaTech app

The VivaTech app provides networking, meeting booking, the agenda and the exhibitor and startup directory, including Investors Office Hours slots. It is one of the better event apps for networking. The limits are familiar, though: no export, request caps, and many senior corporate attendees who never respond to in-app messages.

How to prospect VivaTech

  1. List the corporate labs and their partner startups. They show which enterprises are actively buying innovation.
  2. Identify the innovation, digital and procurement leads behind each corporate presence.
  3. Use speakers as a target list. Senior executives on stage are easier to approach with context.
  4. Reach out outside the app by email and LinkedIn, two to three weeks before the event.
  5. Avoid Saturday for B2B. The public day is not useful for business meetings.

Pros and cons

Pros Cons
Huge concentration of corporate innovation buyers and investors Very crowded, mixed quality
Easy access to partner startups through corporate labs Big corporate stands dominate
Strong media visibility and top speakers Paris hotels in June
Good for vendors targeting large enterprises Public day not useful for B2B
