World Ag Expo 2027 returns to the International Agri-Center in Tulare, California, in February. It is the world’s largest annual outdoor agricultural show, with around 1,200 to 1,400 exhibitors and roughly 100,000 visitors, many of them from abroad.

The show reflects California’s very diverse agriculture: dairy, tree nuts, fruit, vegetables and cotton, plus the water, labor and technology challenges that come with them. Here is a practical guide to dates, tickets and the audience, with a focus on finding real buyers in a large, mixed crowd.

What is World Ag Expo?

World Ag Expo turns the International Agri-Center in Tulare into a temporary city of farm equipment, irrigation systems, dairy technology and agribusiness services. It serves California’s highly diverse agriculture (dairy, nuts, fruit, vegetables, cotton) and draws a large international contingent.

Most exhibits are outdoors, so heavy equipment can be shown at full scale. Free seminars cover water, labor, technology and markets, and an international business center hosts foreign delegations.

What World Ag Expo means for B2B sellers

Western growers and dairy operators run large, technology-heavy operations, and they buy irrigation systems, automation, sensors and equipment at scale. World Ag Expo is where many of them compare options in person.

International delegations add another layer. Buyers from Latin America, Asia and Europe use the show to meet US suppliers. For ag-tech and equipment companies, knowing which large farms, dairies and foreign delegations are attending helps you plan the few meetings that can make the trip worthwhile.

Should you go to World Ag Expo?

Go if you sell into agriculture and want face time with operators, dealers or distributors you can’t easily reach online. The show is excellent for relationships and market intelligence.

Think twice if you need senior corporate buyers only. Many World Ag Expo visitors are hands-on operators, so plan for filtering and don’t judge success purely by badge scans.

World Ag Expo ticket prices

Option Price / details
Adult ticket $20 (+$1 online fee)
Children 6 and under free
Parking historically free
Typical cost About $20 per day.

Prices change between editions and by registration date, so treat these as a guide and check worldagexpo.com before you buy.

The World Ag Expo app and platform

Yes, the official World Ag Expo app lists exhibitors, seminars and food booths and lets visitors add events to their calendar.

From a sales point of view, the app’s main limitation is access. You see the people who chose to be visible, you can’t pull them into your CRM, and once the event ends the data usually disappears with it.

World Ag Expo: strengths and weaknesses

Pros Cons
Unique showcase for Western US and specialty-crop agriculture Outdoors in February, weather can affect the experience
Strong international buyer presence Remote location with limited nearby hotels
Large outdoor demo space Mixed audience including the public
Low entry cost Less relevant outside agriculture

A pre-show prospecting plan for World Ag Expo

When What to do
Early planning Pull the attendee, exhibitor and speaker lists and score them against your ideal customer profile.
Pre-show outreach Contact your top tier personally and your second tier with a short sequence. Aim to book meetings, not booth visits.
On site Work from a printed or mobile list of priority accounts and use breaks and evening events for warm introductions.
Post-show Follow up fast, share what you promised, and keep the list for next year’s edition.

Most exhibits are outdoors, and February weather in the Central Valley can change quickly. Agree on a fixed meeting point with your prospects, such as a seminar room or the international business center, instead of ‘meet me at the booth’.

The hard part of this plan is step one: the list. That’s exactly what I do. Get your World Ag Expo attendee list and spend your time on the conversations instead.
