China Beauty Expo 2027 Shanghai: CBE Guide and Lead Lists
By Ilyas Kerbal,

China Beauty Expo (CBE) is one of the largest beauty trade fairs in the world. Every May more than 3,000 exhibitors fill the Shanghai New International Expo Centre with skincare, cosmetics, OEM factories, packaging and ingredients. It’s where you see the rise of Chinese “C-beauty” brands and livestream commerce up close, and the CBE attendee list is a direct line into China’s beauty supply chain.
Here’s what to know before the 2027 edition.

What is CBE?
CBE covers the entire beauty value chain:
- Skincare, cosmetics, fragrance and personal care
- OEM and ODM contract manufacturing
- Packaging and beauty equipment
- Raw materials and active ingredients
- Professional salon, hair and nail care
- Beauty tech, devices and livestream e-commerce services
A conference programme with more than 50 experts runs alongside the supply chain zones. That mix makes the show useful from both directions: brand owners come to find manufacturers, and distributors come to find brands.

Dates and venue
CBE is held every May at SNIEC, 2345 Longyang Road, Pudong New Area. Metro Line 7 stops at Huamu Road and Longyang Road. The 2026 edition ran from 12 to 14 May, and CBE 2027 is scheduled for 12 to 14 May 2027. The show doesn’t move.
Who attends China Beauty Expo
About 250,000 visitors and roughly 3,500 exhibitors take part.
| Visitor profile | What they’re looking for |
|---|---|
| Beauty retailers, distributors and wholesalers | New brands and products for their channels |
| Cross-border e-commerce sellers, Tmall and Douyin operators | Products that sell online and on livestreams |
| Brand owners | OEM and ODM factories |
| Salon and spa owners | Professional products and equipment |
| Livestream and KOL agencies | Brands to represent |
| Ingredient and packaging buyers | Suppliers for formulation and packaging |
For ingredient suppliers, packaging makers, contract manufacturers, logistics firms and e-commerce service providers, the exhibitor and visitor mix at CBE is a dense target market.

Tickets and registration
Trade visitors register online in advance. There are free and paid options, and the authorised ticketing partner lists a full-day ticket at about RMB 30. It’s a B2B show, so applications are reviewed, and entry is real-name with the ID used to register.
Finding exhibitors without an app
No dedicated event app was found for CBE. Registration, the online exhibitor directory and updates run through chinabeautyexpo.com and the organiser’s WeChat channels.
The directory lists who is exhibiting, but it won’t sort companies by size, tell you who handles export or private label, or give you LinkedIn profiles. With 3,000+ exhibitors, building that by hand takes a long time, and much of the source material is in Chinese.
Pros and cons of CBE
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Full beauty supply chain in one show | Very crowded; many visitors are small resellers |
| Excellent access to OEM/ODM manufacturers | Mostly Chinese-language |
| Shows where Chinese consumer trends are heading | Foreign brands face NMPA registration hurdles in China |
| Low cost of entry | Less international than Cosmoprof Asia in Hong Kong |
| Strong e-commerce and livestream presence | Quality varies among smaller exhibitors |
The weeks before CBE are when meetings get booked. With the enriched attendee list in hand early, your team can start outreach while others are still printing brochures. Request your CBE list
How to prepare for CBE 2027
- Decide if you’re buying or selling. Brand owners sourcing factories need a different list than ingredient suppliers selling to them.
- Filter out small resellers early. Focus on manufacturers, distributors and serious brand owners.
- Prepare Chinese materials and a WeChat contact.
- If you’re a foreign brand, understand NMPA requirements before you promise distributors anything.
- Book meetings two to three weeks before the show with your shortlisted exhibitors.
- Compare CBE with Cosmoprof Asia in Hong Kong if your audience is more international.
