EMO Milano 2027: Machine Tool Show Guide & Attendee List

EMO is the world’s leading trade fair for metalworking and machine tools. It alternates between Hanover and Milan, and the 2027 edition returns to Fiera Milano Rho from 4 to 8 October 2027, six years after its last Milan edition. Organisers have reserved all 12 halls. Typical editions host around 1,600–1,800 exhibitors and 60,000–90,000 visitors, depending on the host city.

Machine-tool makers from Germany, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, Taiwan and China present new machines here. For anyone selling to manufacturers, EMO is a concentrated look at production investment.

Where it takes place

EMO rotates. Hanover hosts it on one cycle (most recently 2025, organised by VDW), and Milan hosts it periodically (organised by UCIMU and EFIM). Milan editions usually draw fewer visitors than Hanover, but a strong Italian and European manufacturing audience.
