Hannover Messe is the world’s leading industrial technology fair. Every spring, around 4,000 exhibitors and some 130,000 visitors (about 40% international) gather in Hanover to see the latest in automation, industrial software, energy and engineered parts. The 2027 edition runs from 5 to 8 April 2027, Monday to Thursday, followed by 24 to 27 April 2028.
It is one of the most important B2B events in Europe for anyone selling to manufacturing companies, and one of the hardest to work without a plan.

What Hannover Messe covers
Hannover Messe is the flagship event for industrial transformation:

Each year has a partner country, and the German chancellor usually opens the fair. The political presence is high.
Where it takes place
The fair is held at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds every year. From 2027 it runs four days, Monday to Thursday. Hanover hotels are expensive during the fair.

Tickets
Prices for 2027 are not published. Past day tickets were around €35–40 online and season tickets around €70–80 (estimate). Exhibitor vouchers are very common, so ask your partners.
The Hannover Messe app
The HANNOVER MESSE app and online platform offer exhibitor search, hall plans, the conference programme and networking. They are good for visitors. They are less useful for sellers: there’s no export, and you cannot see which plant managers or IT leaders from your target accounts will attend.
How to prospect Hannover Messe
- Pick your halls. The fair is very broad, so focus on the themes your buyers care about.
- List target manufacturers by industry, size and country.
- Identify both OT and IT decision-makers. Industrial software deals usually need both.
- Use the shorter four-day format to your advantage. Fewer days mean more compressed schedules, so book early.
- Follow up quickly. Hannover Messe leads cool fast once the next trade fair season starts.
