Gastech 2027 Houston Guide: Dates, Passes & Attendees

Gastech 2027 takes place from 14 to 17 September at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston. It is the world’s largest gas, LNG, hydrogen and energy exhibition and conference, and because it moves to a new country every year, the 2027 edition is the only one in the US for a while.
The 2024 Houston edition drew around 50,000 attendees from about 125 countries. This guide covers dates, passes and the audience, and how energy suppliers and service companies can use the event to meet buyers they rarely see in one place.

Gastech in a nutshell
Gastech is the main global meeting point for the gas and LNG value chain, from national oil companies and international majors to EPC contractors, shipping firms, traders and technology suppliers. It combines a large exhibition with strategic (C-level) and technical conferences.
The event moves country each year (Milan 2025, Bangkok 2026), so its 2027 return to Houston makes it the year’s only US edition, which is very convenient for American energy companies.

Gastech gathers national oil companies, international majors, LNG traders, shipping firms, EPC contractors and technology providers. Many of these delegations fly in from the Middle East, Asia and Europe specifically for the event.
For US-based vendors, a Houston edition is a rare chance to meet that global audience without international travel. Event app and digital platform
Gastech usually provides an event app and online networking platform for registered visitors and delegates (check the site before the event).
Event apps are built for attendees, not for sales teams. You can usually browse profiles one by one, but connection requests are capped, many profiles are half empty, and there is rarely an export button. That makes the app useful on site and frustrating for planning.
