Why GSX matters for sales teams
GSX attracts the corporate side of security: chief security officers and security directors at large companies, healthcare systems, universities and critical infrastructure. These leaders manage guarding contracts, technology budgets and risk programmes.
For vendors of security technology, services and risk intelligence, they are high-value contacts who rarely respond to cold outreach. A list of registered organisations and security leaders makes it possible to book meetings around the sessions they plan to attend.
Is GSX right for your team?
Best for: vendors with a defined segment in corporate security who are ready to filter the attendee base by role and company size.
Less ideal for: teams expecting qualified leads to come to them. At GSX, the useful meetings are almost always arranged before the show opens.
Passes and pricing
| Option | Price / details |
|---|---|
| Badge types | All-Access, Expo Only, One Day, Student, Digital |
| Also good to know | ASIS members get discounted rates; Expo-only is the cheapest option |
| Emerging-market ASIS members | 50% off All-Access with code |
| Typical cost | Expo-only low cost; All-Access roughly $1,000-1,500. |
Prices change between editions and by registration date, so treat these as a guide and check gsx.org before you buy.
Does GSX have an app?
Yes. Download Global Security Exchange from the App Store or Google Play and use its My Show Planner to save sessions and exhibitors.
From a sales point of view, the app’s main limitation is access. You see the people who chose to be visible, you can’t pull them into your CRM, and once the event ends the data usually disappears with it.
Pros and cons of GSX
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Senior corporate security buyers | Rotating cities |
| Strong education | Overlaps with other security shows |
| Free one-day pass for military/law enforcement/first responders | ASIS-member discounts favor members |
How to prospect at GSX
| When | What to do |
|---|---|
| 2 months out | Decide who you want to meet: target roles, industries, company size. Then get the list of who is actually registered. |
| 1 month out | Run a short outreach sequence (three to four touches) that leads with the event and a clear meeting ask. |
| Final week | Send reminders, share your booth number or meeting spot, and prepare one-page briefs on your top accounts. |
| After the event | Send personalised follow-ups within 72 hours and tag every lead with the event name in your CRM. |
Use the GSX app’s My Show Planner insight: many attendees build their schedules around education tracks. Reference a relevant track in your outreach and suggest meeting right after it.
No export button in the event app? I deal with that part. Ask for the GSX list with names, titles, companies and LinkedIn profiles in one file.
