Why B2B teams should care about InfoComm
Pro AV reaches end users mainly through integrators and consultants, so they are the core audience for manufacturers at InfoComm. Enterprise AV and IT managers, venue operators and live-event companies make up the second key group.
Because the show alternates between Las Vegas and Orlando, the regional mix of attendees shifts each year. A current list of registered companies tells you whether your key integrators and end users are actually coming to Orlando in 2027.
Is InfoComm right for your team?
Go if your buyers work in pro AV and you can identify the specific companies you want to meet. The budget holders are there; the work is in finding them among a large crowd.
Think twice if you can’t staff a booth or meeting schedule properly. Without a target list, InfoComm can turn into a lot of pleasant conversations and very little pipeline.
InfoComm ticket prices
| Option | Price / details |
|---|---|
| Exhibits pass | usually free with a promo code / early registration |
| Also good to know | Education and certification courses priced separately (see Passes & Pricing) |
| Typical cost | Free for exhibits; education extra. |
Prices change between editions and by registration date, so treat these as a guide and check infocommshow.org before you buy.
The InfoComm app and platform
InfoComm has an official mobile app and myInfoComm planner.
The official app is good for finding a booth or a session. It is much less useful for prospecting: data is thin, you can’t export it, and messaging limits stop you from reaching more than a handful of people a day.
Is InfoComm worth it?
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Global AV channel in one place | Channel-driven sales |
| Exhibits pass usually free with promo codes | Alternating cities |
| Good integrator and enterprise mix | Technical focus |
A pre-show prospecting plan for InfoComm
| When | What to do |
|---|---|
| 6-8 weeks before | Get the attendee and exhibitor list. Segment it by job title, company size and industry, and remove existing customers and competitors. |
| 3-5 weeks before | Start outreach on email and LinkedIn. Mention the event, give a specific reason to meet and offer two or three time slots. |
| Show week | Confirm every meeting 48 hours ahead, keep a short list of walk-in targets, and log every conversation in your CRM the same day. |
| 1-5 days after | Follow up while the event is still fresh, then add non-responders to a nurture sequence. |
The ‘3 shows, 1 badge’ format in Orlando means more cross-industry visitors. Filter carefully by company type so you don’t spend your time on attendees from the co-located shows who aren’t AV buyers.
