Interop Tokyo Guide: ShowNet, Free Passes and Attendee Leads
By Ilyas Kerbal,

Interop Tokyo is Japan’s largest event for networking, cloud and internet infrastructure, and it has been running for more than 30 years. Its signature is ShowNet, a live, multi-vendor production network that engineers build for the show to demonstrate how the latest routers, switches, optical and security gear work together. The audience is deeply technical. If you sell network, data centre or security products in Japan, the Interop Tokyo attendee list reaches the engineers and IT managers who shape purchases.
This guide is for teams planning the June 2027 edition.

Registration
A free three-day pass covering the exhibition and seminars is available with advance online registration. Some conference sessions need separate booking. Keynotes and sessions are also streamed online.
The data side
Registration and seminar booking run online at interop.jp. There’s no tool that gives exhibitors or sponsors an exportable list of the engineers, IT managers and integrators who attend. Given how technical and Japan-focused the audience is, an enriched list built in advance makes outreach much more efficient, especially if your team doesn’t speak Japanese.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Free entry | Japan-focused, mostly Japanese-language |
| ShowNet live interoperability demo | Highly technical audience |
| Strong technical audience | Makuhari is outside central Tokyo |
| Co-located AI and signage shows | Smaller international presence |
| Established for 30+ years | Overlaps with Japan IT Week for some buyers |
The app won’t let you export. I can help. If you need Interop Tokyo participant data in a spreadsheet instead of a locked app, tell me which segments you care about and I’ll build the file. Get the Interop Tokyo data

- Prepare Japanese technical documents.
- Stay near Makuhari or allow 30+ minutes each way.
- Compare with Japan IT Week if your buyers are business rather than engineering.
