MWC Barcelona is the world’s most influential connectivity and mobile-tech event. The 2026 edition drew about 105,000 attendees from 207 countries and around 2,900 exhibitors and sponsors, and 17% of attendees were C-suite. MWC 2027 takes place in early March 2027, usually Monday to Thursday in the first week of the month.
MWC is a meetings event first and an exhibition second. Many deals and partnerships are negotiated in private rooms on the show floor. For B2B sellers it offers one of the densest concentrations of telecom and tech executives anywhere, at a high price.

Where it takes place
MWC is held at Fira Gran Via in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (metro L9 Sud), with 4YFN at Fira Montjuïc. Barcelona has hosted MWC under a contract running to 2030. The GSMA also runs MWC Shanghai, MWC Las Vegas and MWC Kigali.

The MWC App
The MWC App offers curated networking, meeting requests, the agenda and floor maps. It is one of the more capable event apps, but senior executives often ignore in-app requests, and the data cannot be exported for proper sales sequencing.
How to prospect MWC Barcelona
- Start with the exhibitor and sponsor list. Partnerships and integrations are a big part of MWC business.
- Add speakers. Executives on stage are visible and easier to contact with a relevant reason.
- Build an enterprise buyer list by vertical if you sell connectivity, IoT or AI solutions.
- Request meetings four to six weeks out. Private rooms and senior diaries fill early.
