Zero Trust World 2027 (ZTW27) Guide: Dates, Hotels, Tickets
By Ilyas Kerbal,

Zero Trust World 2027 (ZTW27) runs February 17-19, 2027 at the Loews Meeting Complex, Universal Orlando Resort. It’s ThreatLocker’s annual cybersecurity conference, and it breaks most of the rules of a vendor event: you hack real targets on laptops they hand you, you can earn your ticket back by passing an exam, and the main stage looks like a tech YouTube lineup.
About 2,000 people showed up in person in 2026, mostly MSPs, sysadmins, security analysts and the people who sign their purchase orders. This guide puts everything in one place: schedule, hotels and rates, speakers, labs, tickets, parties, past editions, and how to work the event if you sell to that crowd.
Last updated: October 12, 2026. The ZTW27 agenda, speakers, party theme and ticket price are not published yet. I’ll update this page as they come out.

Why ZTW is unlike other security conferences
Most security shows are a sea of booths with a conference attached. ZTW flips the ratio. The expo is small (around 30 vendors expected in 2026), and the real action is in the labs, on the main stage and at the parties.
| Zero Trust World | RSAC | Black Hat USA | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Onsite attendance | ~2,000 | ~44,000 | ~20,000 |
| Full ticket | $595 (2026) | ~$2,195-2,995 | ~$3,399 (Briefings) |
| Hands-on hacking labs | Every afternoon, laptops provided, no extra fee | Some, limited seats | Separate paid trainings |
| Get your ticket refunded | Yes, pass the onsite exam | No | No |
| Main audience | MSPs, sysadmins, IT and security teams | CISOs, enterprise security, vendors | Researchers, practitioners |
| Exhibitors | ~30-50 sponsors | 600+ | ~450 |
The takeaway for vendors: ZTW is small enough that you can actually talk to people, and the room is full of MSPs. One MSP can put your product in front of dozens or hundreds of client companies, so a single good conversation here is worth a lot of booth scans elsewhere.

ZTW27 dates and daily schedule
The ZTW27 agenda is “coming soon”. ThreatLocker points to the 2026 schedule as the template, so here is that pattern mapped onto the 2027 dates.
| Day | What happens | Typical times (ZTW26 pattern) |
|---|---|---|
| Tue Feb 16 (likely) | Registration, Cyber Hero exam bootcamp, Welcome Reception | Reg 2-7 pm · Bootcamp 3-7 pm · Reception 6-9 pm |
| Wed Feb 17 | Certification exam, breakfast in the Solutions Pavilion, mainstage keynotes, labs and breakouts, happy hour, IT Community Block Party | Exam 8-10 am · Keynotes 10 am-12 pm · Labs 1:30-5:45 pm · Block party 7-11 pm |
| Thu Feb 18 | Exam, keynotes, ThreatLocker leadership keynote, labs and breakouts, reception, ThreatLocker After Party | Exam 7-9 am · Keynotes 9 am-12:15 pm · Labs 1:30-5:40 pm · After party 7-10 pm |
| Fri Feb 19 | Exam, live podcast taping, celebrity closing keynotes, raffle and charity donation | Exam 7-9 am · Keynotes 9-11:40 am · Ends 12 pm |
Good to know:
- Meals are included: breakfast, lunch, breaks and a reception on days one and two, breakfast and a mid-morning break on Friday.
- Exams run every morning, so you can sit the bootcamp on Tuesday and try the exam any day.
- Friday ends at noon. Book a mid-afternoon flight out of MCO and you lose nothing.
Venue and hotels at Universal Orlando
ZTW27 moves to Universal Orlando for the first time. Sessions sit in the Loews Meeting Complex, with activity spread across Loews Royal Pacific and Loews Sapphire Falls. Four Loews hotels on Universal property hold group rates, all within walking distance. Booking links only arrive after you register.
Royal Pacific, Aventura and Sapphire Falls sit side by side on the resort waterway, so getting between them is a short walk. Photo: Farragutful, CC BY-SA 4.0, via Wikimedia Commons.
| Hotel | Group rate per night (1-2 / 3 / 4 guests) | Distance to sessions | Best perk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Loews Royal Pacific Resort | $319 / $374 / $429 | Attached, closest to Labs and Solutions Pavilion | Free Universal Express Unlimited (skip most ride lines) |
| Loews Sapphire Falls Resort | $299 / $324 / $349 | Attached, closest to Main Stage | Early Park Admission, Strong Water Tavern rum bar |
| Universal’s Aventura Hotel | $249 / $269 / $289 | Next to Sapphire Falls | Bar 17 Bistro rooftop, Urban Pantry food hall |
| Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort | $220 / $240 / $260 | 8-minute walk to Sapphire Falls | Cheapest option, on-site bowling alley |
Which one to pick:
- Lab-heavy schedule? Royal Pacific. You’re closest to the labs and the expo, and the Express pass is a real bonus.
- Here for keynotes and meetings? Sapphire Falls puts you next to the main stage.
- Bringing a team on a budget? Cabana Bay at $220 saves you about $100 a night per room against Royal Pacific. Over three nights with four rooms, that’s roughly $1,200.
Logistics:
- Address for maps: Loews Royal Pacific Resort, 6300 Hollywood Way, Orlando, FL 32819.
- Airport: Orlando International (MCO), roughly 20-30 minutes by car.
- Room block closes January 21, 2027 or at sellout. Orlando in February is peak season, so don’t wait.
- International attendees: ThreatLocker issues visa invitation letters after registration, and refunds the registration if your visa is refused (with proof).

The hacking labs (the real reason people go)
Labs run every afternoon on laptops ThreatLocker provides. They cover all skill levels and cost nothing extra. SC Media counted hundreds of brand-new Microsoft Surface laptops at ZTW26 (1 TB SSD, 32 GB RAM, about $2,000 each), and Rubber Ducky lab attendees took their USB attack tool home.

| Lab (ZTW26) | What you actually do |
|---|---|
| Metasploit | Exploit vulnerable machines with the classic framework |
| SQL injection | Break a web app’s database through its inputs |
| Rubber Ducky (basic + advanced) | Build keystroke-injection payloads on a USB that pretends to be a keyboard |
| Active Directory hacking | Go from foothold to domain admin (“How to Lose a Domain in 45 Minutes”) |
| Prompt Engineering Malware | Talk an LLM into writing working malware |
| Active OSINT CTF | Find a target’s secrets using only public information |
| IoT exploitation | Attack connected devices that nobody patches |
| CTRL+ALT+PWN | Hack a custom $5,000 PC on the show floor. First to compromise it keeps it |
Top 5 topics to expect at ZTW27
These themes carried the most sessions and stage time at ZTW26, so they’re the safest bets for 2027.
- AI as a weapon and a risk. Theresa Payton’s AI keynote, the Prompt Engineering Malware lab, Jason Silva’s “Augmented Humanity”.
- Thinking like an attacker. Metasploit, SQL injection, Rubber Ducky, IoT, Active Directory takeovers.
- Identity, email and phishing. “The Email Security Reset”, conditional access, email threat hunting, removing local admin without breaking IT.
- The cybercrime economy. “Unmasking the Dark Web” and Chase Cunningham on breach-as-a-service.
- Zero Trust in practice. Default deny, allowlisting, ringfencing, network and storage control, patching without disruption. ThreatLocker launched Zero Trust Network Access and Zero Trust Cloud Access at ZTW26, so expect product news on stage again.
Bonus track: business resilience. Security roadmaps, financial continuity plans, and when a small business should start caring about security at all.
Who attends ZTW
ZTW is built for people who run the machines, with a leadership track on top. ThreatLocker sells heavily through MSPs, so they’re the backbone of the crowd, but you don’t need to be a ThreatLocker customer to attend.
| Attendee group | Typical titles | Why they come |
|---|---|---|
| MSPs and MSSPs | Owners, CEOs, vCIOs, service managers, technicians | Training, tooling, peer networking, the block party |
| Practitioners | Sysadmins, security analysts, IT operators, threat specialists | Labs, certification, CPEs |
| IT and security leaders | IT directors, CISOs, heads of security | Keynotes, roadmap sessions, vendor evaluation |
| IT services and consulting | Founders and CEOs of small IT and security firms | Partners, ideas, new services to sell |
Industries on stage and in the room: MSPs, healthcare (a dedicated “Securing Healthcare” panel), financial services and insurance (Movement Mortgage on stage), large enterprise (NetApp panel), government and public sector (InfraGard, ISSA, Cloud Security Alliance as partners).
It’s international. ZTW25 drew attendees from 28 countries, and the ZTW27 homepage greets visitors in eight languages.
Selling to MSPs, IT directors or security teams? ZTW27 puts about 2,000 of them in one resort for three days. Prospector builds the ZTW27 attendee list from the event app and website: name, job title, company, company size, industry, LinkedIn profile and work email where available, delivered as a CRM-ready file before you fly. Get the ZTW27 attendee list
Exhibitors and sponsors
ZTW26 had 49 sponsors and partners on its sponsor wall. Meals are served in the Solutions Pavilion, so every attendee walks past every booth several times a day. That’s rare.
| Category | ZTW26 sponsors and partners |
|---|---|
| Distributors and resellers | CDW, Ingram Micro, TGT Global, xByte Technologies |
| MSP platforms and tools | Kaseya, NinjaOne, Acronis, Nerdio, Rewst, Liongard, Immy.bot, inforcer, Augmentt, BetterTracker, Crewhu, Cytracom, 1Stream, MSP Process, Channel Program, PIA, Hatz, Monjur, BenjiPays |
| Security vendors | SOCSoter, Scylos, Timus SASE, Petra Security, Ravenna, Mailprotector, Infima, DefensX, Cork Cyber, CyberQP, Cavelo, Atakama, Guardare, Liminal, Division 5, 11:11 Systems, uptime |
| Marketing and advisory | Marketopia, MarkITechs, Galactic Advisors, Info-Tech Research Group |
| Associations and communities | GTIA, ISSA, InfraGard National, Cloud Security Alliance, SIM Central Florida |

If you sell into the MSP channel, this table is basically your competitor and partner map. Sponsors are also prospects: an MSP marketing agency wants to meet the RMM vendor, and the RMM vendor wants the distributor.
Need the ZTW27 exhibitor list with contacts? Prospector maps every sponsor and exhibitor to the people who matter (partnerships, channel, sales and marketing leaders) with titles, LinkedIn profiles and work emails where available. Get the ZTW27 exhibitor list
Tickets, discounts and the exam refund
The ZTW27 price isn’t public yet. You’ll see it when you start registration on Cvent. Past standard tickets: $495 in 2023 and 2024, $595 in 2026.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| ZTW27 standard ticket | Not published yet |
| Last known price | $595 (ZTW26) |
| What’s included | All sessions and labs, meals and breaks, Welcome Reception, certification exam attempts, guaranteed After Party spot |
| Pass the Cyber Hero exam onsite | Full registration refund |
| Partner discount codes | Past examples: $200 off for WISP members (ZTWWISP26), Security Weekly listener code ZTW26ESW |
| Hosted passes | Some partners and prospects get free registration, airfare and hotel through ThreatLocker |
| Free passes | Raffled at some ThreatLocker webinars |
| Visa refused | Registration refunded with proof |
| CPE credits | ThreatLocker is an approved ISC2 CPE provider. Add your CPE ID when registering |
The exam trick, explained. Proctored Cyber Hero exams run every morning. Pass one and ThreatLocker refunds your registration. 183 people earned the certification at ZTW26. Take the Tuesday bootcamp, sit the exam Wednesday, and if it doesn’t go well you have two more mornings to retry.
Is there an app? ZTW26 had an event website and app, and session recordings stayed available for about two weeks after the show. Registration runs on Cvent, so the app is likely Cvent-powered too (ThreatLocker hasn’t named it publicly).
The parties
ZTW has two big nights, plus the sponsor dinners you only hear about if you’re invited.
| Party | When (ZTW26 pattern) | Where | Run by | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Welcome Reception | Tue, 6-9 pm | Event venue | ThreatLocker | Included |
| IT Community Block Party | Wed, 7-10:30 pm | Howl at the Moon, International Drive (2026) | The MSP Initiative, with sponsors incl. ThreatLocker, Kaseya, Acronis, CyberQP | Separate Eventbrite signup, MSP and non-MSP tickets |
| ThreatLocker After Party | Thu, 7-10 pm | Onsite | ThreatLocker | Included, spot guaranteed with registration |
The After Party is a costume party. Every year has a theme. ZTW26 went full 1960s space race: guests showed up in silver spacesuits, NASA helmets and Star Trek uniforms, and at least one dog came dressed as an astronaut. There was a DJ and a “Glambot” camera booth. The ZTW27 theme hasn’t been revealed yet (“stay tuned”, says the site), so check ztw.com/after-party before you pack.
Things most people don’t know:
- The block party is almost as old as ZTW itself. The MSP Initiative lists a 2022 Orlando edition, and invites from that year already called it “another” one.
- Free shuttles ran all night in 2026 between the conference hotel and Howl at the Moon (last bus 10:30 pm). With ZTW27 at Universal, CityWalk is right there, so the 2027 setup may change.
- Private dinners happen the night before. Sponsors host invite-only events, like CyberQP’s “Cyber Bytes” leaders’ dinner before ZTW26. If you sell to MSP owners, this is where the senior people are.
Past editions, 2021-2026
| Edition | Dates | Venue | Standard price | Highlights |

| ZTW21 (1st) | 2021 | Not confirmed | Not found | Run when ThreatLocker had 27 employees |
The growth story in one line: a 27-person company started it in 2021, and five years later it drew 2,000+ people while the ticket price went up just $100 in three years.
12 fun facts about Zero Trust World
- Pass the exam, get your money back. 183 people did it at ZTW26.
- Hack the PC, keep the PC. CTRL+ALT+PWN put a custom $5,000 PC on the floor. First to compromise it took it home.
- The lab laptops cost more than your ticket. About $2,000 each, hundreds of them.
- Linus Tech Tips speaks from experience. Their YouTube channel was hijacked in March 2023 after a staffer opened a malicious file. Attackers stole session tokens and walked straight past MFA. They adopted ThreatLocker afterwards, and Linus admitted on stage that he was filmed sprinting downstairs in the middle of the night during the attack.
- MythBusters secrets came out. Adam Savage told stories the show never aired, including the FAA asking them to hide where a charge breached an airliner fuselage, and a cannonball that flew nearly half a mile into a parked car.
- The swag store is a charity drive. ZTW26 swag sales raised $122,036 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida.
- The talk title is a spoiler. “How to Lose a Domain in 45 Minutes” is named after its own time slot.
- The AI wrote the malware anyway. In the Prompt Engineering Malware lab, the LLM warned about misuse, then wrote working infostealer scripts “for educational purposes”.
- The WannaCry guy keynoted. Marcus Hutchins, who found the kill switch that halted WannaCry in 2017, gave a ZTW26 keynote.
- Product launches happen on stage. ThreatLocker Insights and the User Store launched at ZTW25, ZTNA and Zero Trust Cloud Access at ZTW26.
- Free roller coaster line-skipping for Royal Pacific guests in 2027.
- Early-bird prizes go way back. In 2022, the first 400 registrants were entered to win a Samsung 4K laser projector.
How to work ZTW27 if you sell to MSPs and IT teams
ZTW is small and social, which is great for meetings and terrible for winging it. Most of the value is booked before you land.
| When | What to do |
|---|---|
| Now to December 2026 | Get the ZTW26 sponsor list and the ZTW27 attendee data as it appears. Score accounts against your ICP: MSP size, stack (RMM, PSA), region, vertical. |
| By January 21, 2027 | Book rooms before the block closes. Royal Pacific if you want to sit near the labs and expo, Sapphire Falls for the main stage. |
| 3-4 weeks before | Outreach to your top 50. Suggest a specific slot: breakfast in the Pavilion, the gap after the keynotes, happy hour. Mention the session they’ll probably attend. |
| Feb 16-17 | Welcome Reception and block party are the loosest networking of the week. Be there, and have a dinner booked for your best prospects. |
| Feb 18 | After Party. Dress for the theme. Conversations go better when you’re the one in the NASA helmet. |
| Within 48 hours | Follow up with what you promised. Friday ends at noon, so people are back at their desks by Monday. |
More on this: how to book meetings before a trade show starts.
Pre-booked meetings beat booth traffic. Tell me who you want to meet at ZTW27 (MSP owners, IT directors, CISOs, or the exhibitors themselves) and I’ll come back with what the attendee and exhibitor data looks like. Request the ZTW27 lists
