ACT Expo in a nutshell

ACT Expo focuses on zero- and low-emission commercial vehicles: electric trucks and buses, charging and hydrogen fueling, RNG and fleet-management technology. Fleet operators, OEMs, utilities, charging providers and policymakers meet to plan fleet transitions.

Who attends ACT Expo?

  • Fleet operators and sustainability leaders

You will find real buyers with real budgets, mixed with technical staff and partners. Segmenting the attendee list by role and company size before the show saves a lot of wasted booth conversations.

The sales opportunity at ACT Expo

Fleet electrification decisions involve fleet managers, sustainability leaders, finance teams, utilities and charging providers. ACT Expo is where these groups meet to plan projects.

For OEMs, charging companies and fleet-software vendors, the most valuable attendees are fleet operators with large vehicle counts, plus utilities supporting infrastructure. A list filtered by fleet size and sector helps prioritise the accounts most likely to buy.

Is ACT Expo right for your team?

Go if your buyers work in clean transportation and you can identify the specific companies you want to meet. The budget holders are there; the work is in finding them among a large crowd.

Think twice if you can’t staff a booth or meeting schedule properly. Without a target list, ACT Expo can turn into a lot of pleasant conversations and very little pipeline.

Passes and pricing

The ACT Expo app and platform

ACT Expo has offered an event app in prior years.

From a sales point of view, the app’s main limitation is access. You see the people who chose to be visible, you can’t pull them into your CRM, and once the event ends the data usually disappears with it.

Strong policy and utility presence Alternating city

A pre-show prospecting plan for ACT Expo

When What to do
6-8 weeks before Get the attendee and exhibitor list. Segment it by job title, company size and industry, and remove existing customers and competitors.
3-5 weeks before Start outreach on email and LinkedIn. Mention the event, give a specific reason to meet and offer two or three time slots.
Show week Confirm every meeting 48 hours ahead, keep a short list of walk-in targets, and log every conversation in your CRM the same day.
1-5 days after Follow up while the event is still fresh, then add non-responders to a nurture sequence.

Policy and incentives shift often in clean transportation. Reference a current incentive or regulation relevant to the prospect’s region in your outreach; it shows you understand their situation.

The hard part of this plan is step one: the list. That’s exactly what I do. Get your ACT Expo attendee list and spend your time on the conversations instead.
