CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2029: What to Expect & Who Attends
By Ilyas Kerbal,

CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2029 is scheduled for 13 to 17 March 2029 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Held only every three years, it is the largest construction trade show in North America, and the 2026 edition drew more than 140,000 attendees and 2,000 exhibitors across three million square feet.
Three years is a long gap, and that is exactly what makes the show so important. Contractors, dealers and producers save purchasing decisions for it, and manufacturers time their biggest launches around it. Here is what to know now, even with the next edition a few years out.

CONEXPO-CON/AGG in a nutshell
CONEXPO-CON/AGG is the biggest construction equipment show in North America and one of the largest trade shows in the world by floor space. It brings together the full construction value chain (earthmoving, lifting, paving, concrete, aggregates mining and the technology that runs it) with live demos of very large machinery.
Because it is held only every three years, it is the key launch platform for new equipment and construction technology. The 2026 show drew more than 140,000 attendees and offered 150+ education sessions.
Where does CONEXPO-CON/AGG take place?
Las Vegas Convention Center (all halls) plus the outdoor Festival and Silver lots for heavy machinery and demos.
Does it change location? No. Always Las Vegas, but only every third year.

What CONEXPO-CON/AGG means for B2B sellers
When a show only happens every three years, attendance is concentrated and buying intent is high. Contractors come to compare machines side by side, rental companies plan fleet renewals, and aggregates producers look at full plant upgrades.
For construction-tech and equipment vendors, the people worth targeting are fleet managers, equipment managers, rental company buyers and the owners of mid-size and large contracting firms. They are spread across a huge venue, so a list of registered companies and roles is the only practical way to plan meetings.
Is CONEXPO-CON/AGG right for your team?
Go if you sell into construction and want face time with operators, dealers or distributors you can’t easily reach online. The show is excellent for relationships and market intelligence.
Think twice if you need senior corporate buyers only. Many CONEXPO-CON/AGG visitors are hands-on operators, so plan for filtering and don’t judge success purely by badge scans.
How much does CONEXPO-CON/AGG cost?
| Option | Price / details |
|---|---|
| Also good to know | Registration is handled by Maritz; pricing for 2029 will be published in summer 2028 |
| Also good to know | Past editions charged a modest exhibits-only badge (roughly $100-$200 depending on timing) with education sold separately |
| Typical cost | Low hundreds of dollars for exhibits access (confirm when 2029 registration opens). |
Prices change between editions and by registration date, so treat these as a guide and check conexpoconagg.com before you buy.
Does CONEXPO-CON/AGG have an app?
Past editions have had an official CONEXPO-CON/AGG mobile app with floor maps and exhibitor search; expect a new app nearer to 2029.
If you plan to prospect through the event app, expect friction: limited search filters, caps on messages and connection requests, and no way to get the data into your CRM. It helps on the day, but it is not a target list.
Is CONEXPO-CON/AGG worth it?
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Once-every-three-years event draws everyone in the industry | Long gap between editions (next is 2029) |
| Capex buyers with real budgets | Huge venue, walking the full show takes days |
| Excellent for product launches and dealer network meetings | Very high exhibitor costs for heavy equipment |
| Strong international attendance | Many decisions go through dealer networks rather than direct sale |
Getting meetings at CONEXPO-CON/AGG
| When | What to do |
|---|---|
| Early planning | Pull the attendee, exhibitor and speaker lists and score them against your ideal customer profile. |
| Pre-show outreach | Contact your top tier personally and your second tier with a short sequence. Aim to book meetings, not booth visits. |
| On site | Work from a printed or mobile list of priority accounts and use breaks and evening events for warm introductions. |
| Post-show | Follow up fast, share what you promised, and keep the list for next year’s edition. |
Because the show is triennial, keep your list. The same contractors and dealers will be back in 2029, and a clean contact history from previous editions gives you a head start.
The hard part of this plan is step one: the list. That’s exactly what I do. Get your CONEXPO-CON/AGG attendee list and spend your time on the conversations instead.
