MINExpo 2028 is scheduled for 26 to 28 September 2028 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Held every four years by the National Mining Association, it is the world’s largest mining equipment show; the 2024 edition drew about 44,000 attendees and 1,900 exhibitors.
Giant haul trucks, shovels, underground equipment, processing technology and autonomous systems fill the halls and outdoor areas. With the next edition two years away, this guide focuses on what to expect and how to prepare.

Why MINExpo matters for sales teams
Mining companies make large, long-term equipment decisions, and MINExpo is where many of those discussions start. Operators send executives, maintenance leaders and engineers to compare OEMs and technology providers.
For vendors of autonomy, electrification, safety, maintenance and data solutions, the most valuable attendees are mine operators and procurement teams rather than other suppliers. Because the show is so infrequent, keeping a clean list from one edition to the next is a real advantage.
Is MINExpo right for your team?
Best for: companies whose customers are the operators, dealers and distributors that MINExpo attracts, and who want to see a whole industry in one place.
Less ideal for: enterprise software vendors targeting C-level buyers only. The crowd at MINExpo is broad, so the attendee list has to be filtered hard before outreach.

Past editions had an official MINExpo app; expect one for 2028.
Event apps are built for attendees, not for sales teams. You can usually browse profiles one by one, but connection requests are capped, many profiles are half empty, and there is rarely an export button. That makes the app useful on site and frustrating for planning.
