What is World of Concrete?
World of Concrete is the leading annual event for the commercial concrete and masonry construction industries. Equipment makers, materials suppliers, tool brands and software vendors show their products indoors and outdoors, with live demos of placing, finishing and cutting equipment.
A large seminar program covers technical topics, business management, project management and safety for both field crews and office staff. Competitions such as the Spec Mix BRICKLAYER 500 add an industry-festival feel.
Location and venue
Las Vegas Convention Center (North, Central and South Halls), plus the outdoor Silver and Bronze Lots for heavy equipment.

Who attends World of Concrete?
- Concrete and masonry contractors
- Business owners and project managers
- Field crews and foremen
- Producers, distributors and dealers
- Engineers, architects and specifiers
- International buyers
Many visitors are operators, dealers or practitioners rather than corporate buyers, so not every badge is a lead. A filtered attendee list helps you find the distributors, chains and larger companies worth talking to.

The sales opportunity at World of Concrete
Concrete and masonry contractors are a hard group to reach. Many run busy crews, spend little time at a desk and ignore cold email. World of Concrete is one of the few moments when owners, estimators and project managers are all in one place and in buying mode.
Equipment makers, materials suppliers and construction software vendors get the most from the show when they know which contracting firms are coming and who is sending the decision-makers. That lets you invite the right people to demos instead of waiting for foot traffic.
Is World of Concrete right for your team?
Go if you sell into commercial construction and want face time with operators, dealers or distributors you can’t easily reach online. The show is excellent for relationships and market intelligence.
Think twice if you need senior corporate buyers only. Many World of Concrete visitors are hands-on operators, so plan for filtering and don’t judge success purely by badge scans.

Event app and digital platform
Yes. Search ‘World of Concrete’ in the Apple App Store or Google Play for the official app, with exhibitor search, maps and the seminar schedule.
Event apps are built for attendees, not for sales teams. You can usually browse profiles one by one, but connection requests are capped, many profiles are half empty, and there is rarely an export button. That makes the app useful on site and frustrating for planning.
Pros and cons of World of Concrete
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Very focused trade audience | Narrow industry focus |
| Contractors come to buy equipment for the season | January in Las Vegas competes with CES and other big shows for hotels |
| Strong education program | Many small contractors rather than large enterprises |

A pre-show prospecting plan for World of Concrete
| When | What to do |
|---|---|
| 6-8 weeks before | Get the attendee and exhibitor list. Segment it by job title, company size and industry, and remove existing customers and competitors. |
| 3-5 weeks before | Start outreach on email and LinkedIn. Mention the event, give a specific reason to meet and offer two or three time slots. |
| Show week | Confirm every meeting 48 hours ahead, keep a short list of walk-in targets, and log every conversation in your CRM the same day. |
| 1-5 days after | Follow up while the event is still fresh, then add non-responders to a nurture sequence. |
January in Las Vegas is crowded: CES and other shows run close by. Book hotels early and confirm meetings with contractors the day before, since crews and schedules change quickly.
Pre-booked meetings beat booth traffic. If you want a clean, segmented World of Concrete list to work from, reach out on Prospector and tell me who you want to meet.
