IBTM World 2026 Barcelona: MICE Event Guide & Attendee List

IBTM World is the global event for the meetings, incentives and events (MICE) industry. It runs every November at Fira Barcelona Gran Via. The 2025 edition, from 18 to 20 November, gathered 12,000 participants and around 2,500 exhibitors and produced 79,000+ pre-scheduled meetings. The 2026 edition is in November 2026.
IBTM connects event planners with destinations, venues, hotels, DMCs and event-tech suppliers. Its hosted-buyer programme guarantees meetings, which makes appointments the main currency.

How the hosted-buyer programme works
Qualified corporate, agency and association planners get travel and accommodation covered in exchange for a set number of pre-scheduled appointments. Almost half of hosted buyers come from outside Europe. Meeting volume grew 8% in 2025.
